ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Spadra Property Company is a boutique real estate management firm providing expert service and care to rental housing owners across Southern California.

Nicholas Dunlap is the Founder and President of Spadra Property Company. He is a second-generation apartment owner and followed his father’s footsteps into the real estate investment and management business.

 

Nicholas has held executive-level leadership positions at local and national companies, including Dunlap Property Group, McKinley and Avanath Capital. His track record includes over $2,000,000,000 in acquisitions and dispositions, along with over 20,000 units acquired and managed across the United States.

 

He is a nationally published author, having written hundreds of articles and columns for real estate publications such as the Journal of Property Management, Realtor Magazine, Apartment News and Units Magazine. He recently served as named editor of the Institute of Real Estate Management’s flagship publication “Principles of Real Estate Management."

 

Mr. Dunlap is active in the community, including the City of Fullerton, where he has served on both the Planning Commission and currently serves on the City Council.

 

Previously, he served the County of Orange as a Housing and Community DevelopmentCommissioner. He has held volunteer-board leadership positions with local non-profits such as the Fair Housing Council of Orange County, the Institute of Real EstateManagement-Orange County, and the Apartment Association ofOrange County, where he is a Director Emeritus, having served three consecutive terms as President before the becoming Chairman of the California Rental Housing Association’s Legislative Committee.

 

Dunlap graduated from UCLA, where he majored in English, and became a licensed Real Estate Broker in the States of California and Texas. He holds the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management out of Chicago.
